Evolution Trampolining

About Evolution

Evolution Trampoline club is one club that trains at several different locations.  We are able to provide our club members with a wide coaching experience by our coaches regularly visiting other locations to exchange techniques and coach pupils.

Frome was the first site to be established back in 1984. The then named Frome Bounce Club was started by Nicky Allen, over the years the name changed to Frome Trampoline Club before finally changing to Evolution in 2004. Now run by Sarah Hunt (nee Allen) an ex National finalist and World Age Group competitor, the club merged with Warminster Trampoline Club in 2004 to make what we now know as Evolution.  In September 2008 the Frome site had to unfortunately move to Warminster Sports Centre as the costs at Frome were spiralling.  We have now settled in Warminster and would like to thank DC Leisure for being so accomodating.

The Bath side of the club is now run from the University of Bath. With their help we have set up a development squad, which is run by Nicky Allen, Nic Zeal and Lauren Skeates.  The University is also home to the Elite DMT squad and the some of the Elite Trampoline Squad, both run by Sarah Hunt.  The University of Bath offers unique facilities and we have children travel from as far as Swindon to train at the venue.  The club also work closely with the University Trampoline Club and give them the opportunity to compete within the BG system.  It is hoped that this will become one of the fastest growning areas of the club in the future and we hope to have a long and fruitful relationship with the University.

Evolution are now also working in conjuction with the impressive Esprit Gymnastics Club in Swindon to offer competitive trampolining at the gym. Sarah works with the coaching team to help ensure that the gymnasts get the best experience possible. Esprit and Evolution share the philosphy of wanting each child to become the best they can.  The centre is arguably the most successful trampolining venue in Swindon with the town's only National Finalist in the 2008 National Finals and a total of four places in the 2009 finals and one national Nat C DMT champion as well as several team champions.  If you would like to join the squad please contact Sarah.

Although the sites all have a main contact for coaching we are very much one club and operate as such with squad training days and coaching days as well as social events! We aim to give the trampolinist the best experience possible from what we consider to be a great sport!
